Leading renewable energy products manufacturer Stiebel Eltron has completed a raft of installation contracts across the UK.
The Wirral-based firm has been working in the domestic and commercial sectors to provide green energy and home comfort products to both retro-fit and new build projects.
Commercial projects include the JCB Academy in Rochester, Staffordshire, where installer MG Renewables has installed Stiebel Eltron solar thermal units for hot water, while York Racecourse is currently trialling the company’s instantaneous hot water heaters with a view to installation across the venue.
Elliott Buildings, which provides portable cabins nationwide for building sites, schools, festivals and other uses, has signed a contract to install Stiebel’s instantaneous hot water heaters in a large number of its cabins.
Two large new build homes in Hampshire and in Mains of Aigas in Inverness, Scotland, have employed Stiebel Eltron’s latest heat pump technology to provide heating and hot water.
Solenergy has installed a 52Kw ground source heat pump at Brentwood House in Hampshire – a considerable system for a domestic property – while at the Scottish four bedroom home, a 16Kw air source heat pump and two solar panels were installed by R&I Cruden Plumbing and Heating, creating a carbon emissions saving of around 60 per cent.
In Doncaster, Stiebel has supplied a 26Kw air source heat pump to Westmoreland Waste Recycling. The WPL23 heat hump was installed by Drayton & Ellis to provide space heating to a new build office and storage unit.
The site is already equipped with the latest machinery and technology to facilitate 50,000 tonnes of waste recycling each year and this installation will further its green credentials.
Stiebel Eltron managing director Mark McManus said: “Despite uncertainty over the government’s commitment to green energy, these projects are evidence that there is still a large demand across the sectors for renewable energy products.
“Stiebel Eltron is committed to expanding its reach across the UK and our sales teams in England, Wales and Scotland are working very hard to promote the use and understanding of green energy systems such as ground and air source heat pumps and solar technology.”
Other completed projects include:
* A Summersgill Plumbing and Heating has installed a Stiebel Eltron WPL16AS 16Kw air source heat pump at Bank Top Barn near Skipton, Yorkshire. The retro-fit system will be used for space and water heating at the five bedroom barn conversion.
* Carr Hill Farm in Doncaster has had a Stiebel Eltron WPL23E 26Kw air source heat pump system installed by Anglo Dutch Services for hot water and space heating.
* Snowdonia Plumbing & Heating has installed a WPF20 20Kw ground source heat pump in Tyn-y-Wal Farm near Colwyn Bay in North Wales to supply hot water – the carbon savings will amount to around 50 per cent.
Stiebel is also hoping to announce a contract win later this year with a large financial institution in London’s Canary Wharf, on the back of a successful installation project earlier this year with the Financial Services Authority.
